Only 14 Châteaux in Saint-Emilion have the right to the prestigious title of Premier Grand Cru Classé B.

Château Beau-Séjour Bécot, Château Beauséjour, Château Bélair-Monange, Château Canon, Château Canon-La-Gaffelière, Château Figeac, Château Magdelaine, Château Trotte Veille, Château La Gaffelière, Château La Mondotte, Château Larcis-Ducasse, Château Pavie-Macquin, Château Troplong-Mondot, Château Trottevieille, Château Valandraud, Château Clos Fourtet.

This list is subject to change over time as the Saint Emilion classification is reviewed every 10 years (unlike the Médoc Classification which has remained practically unchanged since 1855). Thus in 2012, Angelus and Pavie châteaux were elevated from Classé B rank to 1st Grand Cru Classé A rank.

In Saint-Emilion, among the finest vintages are: 1921, 1929, 1947, 1949, 1959, 1982, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1995, 1998, 2000, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010.
