Jean-Marc Quarin
(6-2007) In 2003, I tasted this wine at the château and in a blind tasting at a private residence with great success. I ended my comment by saying: “Would I find another one like it?”. Since then, I have retasted the wine with slightly less interest, finding it to have a moderately dense palate and above all tannins that are a little more gripping than in the other two tastings. However, it doesn't dry out on the finish like many other 83s. It is likely that there are differences from one bottle to another.

This is tapered, melted, thoroughly charming, smoked earth, maybe a finger of Brett but balanced by gorgeous autumnal fruits, tea, crayon, dried mint, cranberry, lavender. Christine Valette owner, taking over the estate as of 1980 and introducing hand picking.
