Château Pichon Longueville Baron is a Bordeaux wine estate and Second Growth in the official 1855 classification. The Pichon Longueville Baron vineyard is largely adjacent to that of Latour, on one of the finest terroirs in Pauillac. The vineyard extends over 73 hectares. The thirty-year-old vines receive special attention as the estate practices sustainable viticulture. In total, four typical Pauillac grape varieties are present in this vineyard: Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (3%) and only 2% Petit Verdot.

The Château also produces two second wines from the youngest vine plots: "Les Tourelles de Longueville" and "Les Griffons de Pichon Baron".

Among the finest achievements, we recommend the 1945, 1989 and 1990 vintages as well as Château Pichon Longueville Baron 1982, Château Pichon Longueville Baron 1998, and Château Pichon Longueville Baron 2006.

It was in the 17th century that Jacques de Pichon, Baron of Longueville, began establishing the Pichon-Longueville vineyard. The wine's reputation was established within a few years. The current château was built in 1851 by Raoul de Pichon-Longueville. Château Pichon-Longueville comes from vines in the estate's historic terroir. This results in full-bodied wines, rich in tannins, characterized by their finesse and elegance. Their length on the palate is exceptional and they have significant aging potential.
