Our opinion on the 1905 vintage: a rather satisfactory vintage. In Bordeaux, the 1905 vintage wines are successful. The harvest was significant in quantity and the weather conditions were favorable for vine cultivation, allowing the grapes to ripen in optimal conditions. As a result, the red wines are balanced, elegant, and smooth. The sweet wines of Sauternes from 1905 are of average quality.

In Burgundy, the 1905 vintage was marked by good weather conditions, which resulted in an abundant harvest. However, despite this abundance, the quality of the vintage did not meet expectations. Generally, 1905 Burgundy wines are not considered vintages of exceptional quality.
