In Bordeaux, the vineyards benefited from a warm and pleasant year with low rainfall periods. The red wines are of good quality, particularly in the Pessac Léognan appellation. The best wines in this vintage are: Château La Mission Haut Brion 1937, Château Canon 1937, Château Margaux 1937, Château Mouton Rothschild 1937 and Petrus 1937. The 1937 Sauternes are exceptional, with great wines from Château d'Yquem 1937, Château Coutet 1937 and Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey 1937 being of superior quality: sappy and rich.

1937 is undoubtedly the best vintage of this decade in Burgundy. It is often compared to the 1934 vintage. The red wines of 1937 are elegant and structured. Among the finest successes, one should favor Romanée Conti La Tâche 1937, Romanée Conti Richebourg 1937, Domaine des Lambrays 1937.
