Our opinion on the 1906 vintage: very good quality wines throughout France. Whether in Bordeaux, Sauternes, or the Burgundy region, the 1906 vintage offers great wines.

In Bordeaux, it's considered a great vintage with limited yield, producing surprisingly powerful wines that take a long time to mature. The red wines are robust and of high quality, but most have reached their peak. The Sauternes are exceptional, although a notch below 1904, with rich and creamy sweet white wines.

In Burgundy, the low-yield harvest offers surprising concentration as well as very high natural sugar. The red wines are suitable for very long aging, while the whites were of slightly superior quality.
