Our opinion on the 2004 vintage: a vintage saved by a beautiful late season. In Bordeaux, the year had started badly with unstable weather conditions, but the weather was particularly mild in September, which allowed for saving the harvests. The 2004 Bordeaux red wines are classic and of good quality. While Bordeaux white wines are fresher and fruitier. Burgundy also suffered from very difficult weather conditions. It's worth noting that white wines are more successful than red wines, with fresh, balanced, and floral wines.
