Château Saint Julien Lagrange

Château Saint Julien Lagrange

Château Lagrange is a wine estate in Bordeaux, located in the commune of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle in Gironde. In the heart of the Médoc, the Château produces Third Classified Growths according to the 1855 Bordeaux wine classification. The vineyard covers nearly 120 hectares. The Château produces 4 wines: the grand vin 'Château Lagrange', the second wine created in 1983 'Les Fiefs de Lagrange' made from the youngest vines, the third wine named 'le Haut Médoc de Lagrange' produced under the Haut Médoc appellation. Finally, since 1996 the Château has been producing a dry white wine "Les Arums de Lagrange" which is one of the very first white wines of the Médoc vinified in barrels. It is one of the curiosities of the estate. Its production is very limited and represents no more than three percent of the total production.

Among the estate's finest achievements, we recommend the Château Lagrange 1945, the Lagrange 1952, the 1989 vintage, or the Château Lagrange 1985. Finally, the Château Lagrange 1990 is particularly good.
