DUC TRIBERT CONFRERIE DES CHEVALIERS DU TASTEVIN 1986
- New
Burgundy covers the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais. From Dijon to Mâcon, the wines are single-varietal, with reds made from Pinot Noir and whites from Chardonnay. Now known worldwide, great names contribute significantly to the global reputation of French wines: Domaine de la Romanée Conti, Henri Jayer, Armand Rousseau, Domaine Comte de Vogue... The highly fragmented vineyard and Burgundy crus follow a hierarchical classification based on qualitative criteria. Regional appellations, communal AOCs (known as "villages"), Premiers Crus (635 climats: Aux Murgers, Les Pucelles, Les Cras...) and finally the Grands Crus (33 in total: Echézeaux, Richebourg, Romanée-Conti, Clos des Lambrays...) make up the 4 levels of the pyramid. It was the monks who, over the centuries, shaped, studied, and worked the land, establishing the climats and crus we know today. The great Burgundy vintages for red wines are 1906, 1911, 1919, 1928, 1929, 1934, 1945, 1947, 1949, 1959, 1969, 1990, 1996, 2005, 2009.
