1969 Wine
In Bordeaux, the 1969 vintage was much better than 1968 despite a rainy September. The Bordeaux red wines are good. There were great successes in Saint-Emilion. We recommend the Château Clos Fourtet 1969, Château Pavie 1969. The greatest success of the vintage is Petrus 1969 in Pomerol. In Burgundy, it's an excellent vintage with classic, solid, and full-bodied wines. These are wines of very good quality and suitable for long aging. The Chambolle-Musigny wines are remarkable. In the Rhône Valley, the Cornas from Clape as well as the Côte-Rôtie and Hermitage are full-bodied, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
