Domaine Leflaive produces Burgundy wines and was founded in 1920 by Joseph Leflaive. Initially, he sold his wines to friends, and gradually built up a private clientele. After his death in 1953, Domaine Leflaive was managed by his four children.

In 1990, Anne-Claude Leflaive managed the estate with Olivier Leflaive, who left the company in 1994 to focus on his own trading business. Today, Anne-Claude Leflaive has full responsibility for the estate, which owes its transition to biodynamic cultivation to her, reducing yields and raising the quality of the already magnificent wines to even greater heights.

The Domain produces Burgundy Premier Crus and Burgundy Grand Crus. Through the selection of vintages, the significant size of the plots, and the absolute consistency of style, Domaine Leflaive is the white wine equivalent of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, which is to say the absolute reference in terms of quality.
