Domaine Leflaive

Domaine Leflaive

Domaine Leflaive, produces Burgundy wines and was founded in 1920 by Joseph Leflaive. Originally, he sold his wines to friends and then, little by little, he built up a private clientele. After his death in 1953, Domaine Leflaive was run by his four children.

In 1990, Anne-Claude Leflaive ran the estate with Olivier Leflaive, who left the company in 1994 to devote himself to his own wine trading business. Today, Anne-Claude Leflaive has full responsibility for the estate, which owes her the transition to biodynamic cultivation in order to reduce yields and raise the quality of the already magnificent wines to greater heights.

The Estate produces Burgundy premier crus and Burgundy grands crus. Through the choice of vintages, the large size of the plots and the absolute certainty of the style, Domaine Leflaive is the white equivalent of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, that is to say the absolute reference in terms of quality.
