Our opinion on the 2014 vintage: a miraculous vintage of good quality. All regions experienced a cold and wet summer. Fortunately, producers benefited from a beautiful sunny late season. Bordeaux vineyards harvested late, allowing perfect ripeness of Cabernet Sauvignon. Sauternes are very good, great wines, fresh and balanced. In Burgundy, it's considered a good vintage. After a cold summer marked by bad weather, the vineyards experienced a spectacular Indian summer from late August until early November. Therefore, it's better to carefully choose your bottle to avoid any surprises due to these weather conditions.

Our advice for buying a 2014 wine

The red wines of Bordeaux are of very good quality. For this vintage, preference will be given to the Grands Crus Classés from Pauillac, Saint Julien and Saint Estèphe.

The Burgundy Crus, especially the wines from the Côte de Nuits, are wonderful. However, the white wines of Burgundy are markedly superior, which will delight wine enthusiasts.

In the Rhône Valley, the appellations Côte Rôtie, Hermitage and Cornas offer great wines.
