Expert's opinions

Dark garnet in color, the earthy, smoky cherries, flowers and exotic spices shine through. Medium/full bodied, with an elegance and refined quality, it will be easy to enjoy the charm offered here, relatively early in life. This is more about purity, complexity and refinement in the fruit, the texture and finish, than power and aging.

Falstaff April - 2015
Falstaff
Wet gravel, very closed, red currant, sweet cherry, blood, iron, soft and powerful, with fine-grained pressure, plus nervy and mineral, unites opposites: appears very unforced, but with tension. Compact, without massiveness, and yet rich.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
The 2014 Lafleur has a lucid hue. The bouquet bides its time, gradually unfolding with scents of raspberry coulis, blackberry, black truffle and just a faint hint of dark chocolate, all beautifully defined and yet you know it is keeping something in reserve. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannin. There is that backbone, which of course you expect with this Pomerol, but also a sense of refinement and poise, a seam of spiciness that develops with time in the glass that prolongs the finish. It's just a really great Pomerol that will give many years of pleasure.

Jeannie Cho Lee March - 2015
Jeannie Cho Lee
There are hints of fresh herbs, violets and spices on the nose. The palate is sumptuous with firm, cashmere-like tannins. Generous and powerful with purity; the minerality in this vintage is quite prominent. The wine is balanced with freshness and subtlety.

Château Lafleur
Château Lafleur
Château Lafleur: This small 4.5-hectare vineyard, located in the Pomerol appellation, produces Château Lafleur wine, which is certainly one of the rarest and most sought-after wines. Made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc (50% each), the wines of Château Lafleur are of exceptional quality. All these factors, along with limited production (an average of 12,000 bottles, one of the smallest in Pomerol along with Le Pin), explain the high prices of Château Lafleur.
