Jean-Marc Quarin November - 2013

Dark color. Normal intensity. Slight evolution. Nose with very ripe fruit, but also fresh and fine. Subtly vanilla-scented, it develops complexity in the glass. Very beautiful entry on the palate, ample and immediately the wine caresses. Juicy, complex and flavorful in the mid-palate, it develops richness, airiness and finishes with a very distinguished texture. Beautiful silky length. It is beautiful and once again impossible to spit out.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
The exotic, nearly over the top 2003 exhibits a southern Rhone-like characteristic of kirsch liqueur intermixed with raspberries and flowers. Sweet fruit, high levels of glycerin (the alcohol is less than 13.5%), and high but silky tannins have resulted in a broad, expansive, terrific example of Lafleur that should be at its finest between 2008-2025. Along with Petrus, this stunning, full-bodied 2003 is a candidate for the top wine of Pomerol.

Dark ruby garnet. Intense nose of roasted aromas and herbs, beautiful chocolatey note. Soft and powerful on the palate, moderately complex and generous, nougat also on the finish, shows enormous length, has great development potential, a real charmer that has reached its first drinking maturity.

Jancis Robinson May - 2018
Jancis Robinson
49 % Merlot, 51 % Cabernet Franc.

Château Lafleur: This small 4.5-hectare vineyard, located in the Pomerol appellation, produces Château Lafleur wine, which is certainly one of the rarest and most sought-after wines. Made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc (50% each), the wines of Château Lafleur are of exceptional quality. All these factors, along with limited production (an average of 12,000 bottles, one of the smallest in Pomerol along with Le Pin), explain the high prices of Château Lafleur.
