Clos des Lambrays Appellation
The Clos des Lambrays appellation is one of the most prestigious Grands Crus of Burgundy, located in Morey-Saint-Denis, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Classified as an AOC Grand Cru and officially recognised since 1981, this appellation covers a vineyard of approximately 8 hectares planted exclusively with Pinot Noir. The wines of Clos des Lambrays captivate with their combination of power, elegance and finesse. They reveal complex aromas of red and black fruits, violet, gentle spices and undergrowth with age. Renowned for their remarkable ageing potential, they can evolve for 15 to 30 years, or even longer in the greatest vintages. Among the iconic estates of Morey-Saint-Denis are Domaine des Lambrays, Domaine Dujac and Domaine Ponsot, essential references for great Burgundy wines.
