Our opinion on the 1904 vintage: a truly great vintage. The 1904 wines are considered an exceptional vintage. In some regions, the harvest was abundant and weather conditions were excellent, which allowed for the production of high-quality wines.

In Bordeaux, the 1904 vintage is of very good quality. Bordeaux red wines as well as Burgundy wines are particularly renowned for their richness, their aromatic complexity and their exceptional aging potential. White wines are also often very successful, with beautiful freshness and great aromatic finesse. In Sauternes, the wines are powerful and still delicious. With good acidity and substantial body, they reveal notes of caramel and crème brûlée.

Rich in every aspect, this was the first great year of the century in the Rhône Valley. Weather conditions were particularly favorable that year, with a mild spring and beautiful flowering, followed by a hot and dry summer. The grapes were able to ripen in optimal conditions, resulting in rich and concentrated wines with beautiful aromatic complexity and great finesse on the palate.

In Champagne, the 1904 vintage is of very good quality. With perfect weather conditions, the Champagnes are excellent, lively and flavorful.
