Château Canon La Gaffelière
Château Canon La Gaffelière is a Bordeaux wine estate. The Château is located on the right bank and borders the Dordogne. Certified organic since 2014, today the vineyard covers nearly 20 hectares in the Saint-Émilion AOC. Château Canon La Gaffelière is a Grand Cru Classé B in the Saint-Émilion classification. The grand vin is elegant, complex and structured with aromas of blackcurrant and cherry. In addition to the grand cru classé, the estate produces a second wine called 'Côte Mignon La Gaffelière'. Lighter, it is less powerful than the grand vin and has an aging potential of 5 to 8 years.
The greatest vintages of the Château are: 1945, 1961 and the 1980 vintage. We also recommend Château Canon La Gaffelière 1982, Canon La Gaffelière 1985, Canon La Gaffelière 1990 as well as Canon La Gaffelière 2005 and 2009.

The German Stephan von Neipperg has spared no effort to restore the luster of this château, which had a strong reputation in the years after World War II. The cultivation has become more rigorous, yields have been greatly reduced, and the winemaking has taken the path of modernity, giving the wines a remarkable concentration. The château also produces a very expensive and highly sought-after cuvée outside the appellation, Mondotte.
