La Revue du Vin de France February - 2011
La Revue du Vin de France
RVF Magazine 548 The nose is dense, very refined, with notes of fruit. The palate is superb, with a sumptuous structure for the vintage. Very fine tannic definition and great persistence. Once again, this wine is at the top of its category.

Wine Enthusiast January - 2010

Big and bold for the year, the tannins quite solid with a tight character. The fruit flavors are rich and intense, spiced with toast and acidity. Through it all goes the tell-tale 2007 streak of acidity.

Falstaff May - 2008
Falstaff
Strong ruby garnet, violet rim lightening. On the nose, fine tobacco spice, dark berry confit, delicate orange zest, fine nougat. On the palate, fresh structure, delicate sour cherry notes, finely spiced, well-integrated tannins, elegant and persistent, mineral finish.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
The 2007 Les Forts de Latour has a fully mature bouquet with melted tar, graphite and black fruit scents, with a touch of tobacco in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, a little chewy, with white pepper and a tobacco-stained finish that is very classic and unapologetically conservative in style. This is probably at its peak now, although it has the body to suggest it will hold in there for several years.

More concentration, spice, vinous. Good depth, graininess to tannins, plenty of acidity. Tight and rather lean.

Jancis Robinson February - 2017
Jancis Robinson
Bright bricky ruby. Fragrantly mature. Subtle undergrowth. Meaty and dark and perhaps a little bit worked on the palate. But the tannins are resolved and the dark fruit has a nice savoury quality. Persistent too. Just slightly tough on the finish but would be fine with food.

Château Latour
Château Latour

Château Latour is one of the most emblematic estates of the Pauillac appellation and a founding reference in Bordeaux wine history. Its name appears as early as the 14th century, linked to the presence of a watchtower on the Gironde estuary, whose proximity still profoundly marks the vineyard's identity. From the 18th century onwards, Château Latour wines have been recognized for their consistency and aging potential, establishing themselves among the greatest wines of the Médoc.

Classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé during the official 1855 classification, Château Latour occupies a central place at the top of the Bordeaux hierarchy. The estate is based on a particularly homogeneous terroir of deep gravels, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, which gives the wines a powerful structure, remarkable depth and great regularity of expression.

The signature of Château Latour is distinguished by a dense tannic architecture and demanding construction, favoring precision and longevity rather than immediate seduction. Iconic vintages such as Château Latour 1945, Château Latour 1961, Château Latour 1990, Château Latour 1996, Château Latour 2000 or Château Latour 2009 illustrate the estate's capacity to consistently express the excellence of the Pauillac terroir and the singularity of its style.
