Falstaff Magazin (05-2008) Dark ruby ??garnet, youthful reflections, delicate water edge. On the nose rather restrained dark berry fruit, delicate tobacco-ethereal nuances, orange zest. Juicy and elegant on the palate, fresh cherry fruit, balanced but quite delicate, fine lemony nuances in the aftertaste.

Vinum Wine Magazine  (03-2010) Seductive nose of peony, leather and spices; Superb texture full of charm, delicious and juicy, tannins with polish, so fruity and seductive that it is already a pleasure and yet can mature for a long time. A treat.

Bricky red. Very herbaceous and lots of undergrowth. Pretty mature and rather lean on the finish.

Château Giscours
Château Giscours

Château Giscours is a Bordeaux wine estate located in Labarde in Gironde. Château Giscours produces wines under the AOC Margaux appellation. It is ranked among the Third Growth (Grand Cru Classé) in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification, and is one of the most important estates in the Médoc. The vineyard spans nearly 86 hectares within a 300-hectare property. Giscours thus continues the legacy of generations of winemakers, making this estate a world-renowned Grand Cru.

Note the existence of an impeccable second wine: La Sirène de Giscours.

The best vintages of Giscours are the 1945 wines, the 1961, 1982, and 1989 vintages which are excellent. Finally, the 1990 vintage, the 2000 and 2009 grand crus, as well as the 2015 vintage are among the Château's greatest achievements.
