Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
The 2009 is a combination of pure power, concentration and great potential longevity. Michel Chapoutier considers the 2009s, which are all in bottle, to be among the greatest wines he has ever produced.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Massive, powerful, concentrated, intense, frightfully tannic and still young. The textures are like molten syrah that oozes all over your palate, teeth and gums, staining everything in its path. Based on previous vintages, this should require, if not demand another 20-25 more years before it sheds its youth, and morphs into the mature stage of life.

Falstaff November - 2015
Falstaff
Deep dark ruby with purple reflections and a slightly watery edge. A definite woody spice to the nose, alongside black forest berries and fresh orange zest. An inviting savouriness in the background, with tobacco notes. A powerful palate that majors on black berry fruit and hints of plum, with a core of fruit sweetness and vivis tannins. Some nougat and mineral characters on the finish which feels still quite closed - still miles away from a first drinking window.

Jancis Robinson September - 2015
Jancis Robinson
Unusual nose. Hugely distinctive. Savoury finish. Well-managed tannins. Very assertive, ripe but not sweet fruit in the middle. Very appetising. Pure and clean.

M. Chapoutier
M. Chapoutier
Since 1808, the name Chapoutier has existed in the Rhone Valley. The distant ancestor Polydor Chapoutier began by buying some vines then becoming winemaker then grower, breeder and negociant. The pioneering spirit was already in the family.  Since 1990, Michel, is leading this exceptional company. A land rich in history and traditions. Passionate expression of soils, Michael gives his convictions ways to thrive. History of time. As is true for each element of nature. Time and the earth. Roots, the vine and the fruit. This is where the richness and generosity of the Maison M. Chapoutier begins.
