Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
When in the course of a tasting session one is confronted by a wine that stands above the others, I find it impossible to give more than a single perfect score. So the 2015 Ermitage le Meal gets a "consolation prize" 99+ rating. Full-bodied and intense, loaded with blackberry fruit that pushes the limits of ripeness and richness, this incredible wine retains such fine details as hints of crushed stone, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Unless it shuts down, it should be drinkable by 2025 and give pleasure for many years to come.

Wine Spectator August - 2018
Wine Spectator
Lovely, featuring waves of Jonagold apple, mirabelle plum, lemon curd and white peach flavors, all gilded with hints of honeysuckle, verbena and jasmine. Shows terrific range, with superior detail through the finish and lingering minerality adding length. Drink now through 2030.

M. Chapoutier
M. Chapoutier
Since 1808, the name Chapoutier has existed in the Rhone Valley. The distant ancestor Polydor Chapoutier began by buying some vines then becoming winemaker then grower, breeder and negociant. The pioneering spirit was already in the family.  Since 1990, Michel, is leading this exceptional company. A land rich in history and traditions. Passionate expression of soils, Michael gives his convictions ways to thrive. History of time. As is true for each element of nature. Time and the earth. Roots, the vine and the fruit. This is where the richness and generosity of the Maison M. Chapoutier begins.
