Bordeaux red color. Dark and evolved on the rim. Good intensity. Bright. Nose of medium intensity. Fine. Nuances of prunes, wood, bay leaf. Very harmonious. More intense when swirled. Slightly less fine. Then returns more floral. Clean, soft and subtle attack developing on a structure of straight form, concentrated, elegant and rich. Slow evolution on very well-balanced tannins, flavorful, with sustained presence, rich in aromas that persist for a very, very long time on a peppery, fruity and complex note. Very good wine. Worth waiting for.

Elegant and refined, offering lots of lovely aromas and flavors of cherry, berry and roasted meat. Full in body and very silky in tannins.

Strong carmine garnet, broad ochre rim, orange reflections. Earthy-leafy nuances on the nose, dark berry fruit comes through, vegetal spice, overall rustic bouquet, doesn't seem entirely clean. Medium texture, seems somewhat depleted, red berry preserve, somewhat dry tannins, cherry-like aftertaste, salty finish, already past its peak.

Château Canon

Château Canon is a 34-hectare wine estate located in Saint-Emilion in the Gironde department. Classified as a Premier grand cru classé B in the Saint-Emilion classification, Château Canon was one of the first estates in the Bordeaux region where the vineyard held a primary place. Despite being a neighbor of Ausone and a 1er grand cru, the wine has never reached the level one might expect from it.

The acquisition of Château Canon in 1996 by the Chanel company has nevertheless given a second wind to this growth. Indeed, significant investments, particularly in the winery, have improved the quality of the wine. Château Canon is known for its meticulous selection of grapes in three stages, and there is no doubt that the work undertaken by the estate will increasingly bear fruit.
