Dark red color, light intensity with vermilion reflections. Evolved on the rim. Medium intensity nose. Slightly vegetal nuances. A little fruit and caramel notes. Soft attack. Development on a structure of good intensity, round and elongated in form, well balanced evolving towards a finish with nuances of tobacco and spices rather than fruit. Correct length.

Château Canon

Château Canon is a 34-hectare wine estate located in Saint-Emilion in the Gironde department. Classified as a Premier grand cru classé B in the Saint-Emilion classification, Château Canon was one of the first estates in the Bordeaux region where the vineyard held a primary place. Despite being a neighbor of Ausone and a 1er grand cru, the wine has never reached the level one might expect from it.

The acquisition of Château Canon in 1996 by the Chanel company has nevertheless given a second wind to this growth. Indeed, significant investments, particularly in the winery, have improved the quality of the wine. Château Canon is known for its meticulous selection of grapes in three stages, and there is no doubt that the work undertaken by the estate will increasingly bear fruit.
