Jeannie Cho Lee March - 2015
Jeannie Cho Lee
Beautiful nose of violets, sweet cedar and cassis. The evolution is just starting to show now and it is at its optimal drinking window. Gorgeous array of flavors that keeps giving on the palate with a very long length. Simply gorgeous. Will keep for several more decades.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
The best deal on a Latour with age kicks off with cedar, mint, cigar box, spice, currants and graphite. The full-bodied palate is balanced, spicy, vibrant, and multi-layered, with waves of sweet, pure, tobacco/laden currants and spice. The almost seamless finish carries. Decanted for 60 minutes, this is about to go up in score. Drink from 2024-2055.

Falstaff February - 2019
Falstaff
Strong ruby garnet, violet reflections, subtle lightening at the rim. Black berry fruit nuances, some licorice and fine wood, subtle hints of herbs and ripe cherries. Elegant on the palate, showing good spice and fine tannins, pleasant extract sweetness and a lingering tobacco-like finish, subtle red berry notes in the aftertaste, very good length. A Latour that keeps getting better and better, without having to compete with the complexity of the truly great vintages. Great bottle. Peter Moser

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
A spectacular Latour, the 1996 may be the modern day clone of the 1966, only riper. This vintage, which is so variable in Pomerol, St.-Emilion, and Graves, was fabulous for the late-harvested Cabernet Sauvignon of the northern Medoc because of splendid weather in late September and early October. An opaque purple color is followed by phenomenally sweet, pure aromas of cassis infused with subtle minerals. This massive offering possesses unreal levels of extract, full body, intensely ripe, but abundant tannin, and a finish that lasts for nearly a minute. Classic and dense, it displays the potential for 50-75 years of longevity.

Fabulous aromas of crushed raspberries, plums and blackberries. Mind-blowing nose. Full-bodied, with soft and silky tannins and a long caressing finish. Hard not to drink now, but leave it alone.

Double decanted. Evolved color with coffee nuances on the rim. Intense, aromatic, fruity, fresh and sophisticated nose. Very smooth, silky, melting palate. The taste could be riper, but the wine is without harshness or greenness. It finishes with good length and much pleasure.

Jancis Robinson May - 2018

Beautifully ornate nose with equal parts stalk, leaf, herb and black fruit. Freshly balanced palate with delicacy and refreshment, and surprising elegance for Pauillac from a big vintage. Wonderful complexity on the finish, earthy and open and meaty on the length.

Château Latour
Château Latour

Château Latour is one of the most emblematic estates of the Pauillac appellation and a founding reference in Bordeaux wine history. Its name appears as early as the 14th century, linked to the presence of a watchtower on the Gironde estuary, whose proximity still profoundly marks the vineyard's identity. From the 18th century onwards, Château Latour wines have been recognized for their consistency and aging potential, establishing themselves among the greatest wines of the Médoc.

Classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé during the official 1855 classification, Château Latour occupies a central place at the top of the Bordeaux hierarchy. The estate is based on a particularly homogeneous terroir of deep gravels, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, which gives the wines a powerful structure, remarkable depth and great regularity of expression.

The signature of Château Latour is distinguished by a dense tannic architecture and demanding construction, favoring precision and longevity rather than immediate seduction. Iconic vintages such as Château Latour 1945, Château Latour 1961, Château Latour 1990, Château Latour 1996, Château Latour 2000 or Château Latour 2009 illustrate the estate's capacity to consistently express the excellence of the Pauillac terroir and the singularity of its style.
