If multiple bottles are in stock, the photo is non-contractual and illustrates the condition of the bottle.

The 1984 vintage seemed rather mixed at Château Latour. However, this impression faded over the decades. Today, the Château Latour 1984 is tasty. The tannins have softened with time and aging in the cellar. The result is a fine and elegant wine, full of finesse.

A slightly unripe wine, but still good. Amber-red color. Aromas of peat, iodine and tobacco. Medium-bodied, with tea, herb and tobacco flavors. Light finish.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
(1-1998) Curiously, the 1984 tastes nearly as fine as the lightish 1985. Spicy, woodsy, mineral, herbal scents and ripe fruit swell in the glass. It has good length and grip, plus adequate tannin for 5-9 years of further cellaring.

Château Latour
Château Latour

Château Latour is a Bordeaux wine estate that produces wines under the Pauillac appellation. Premier Cru Classé in the Official Classification of Bordeaux wines created in 1855. It is undoubtedly a reference in the Médoc.

Created around 1680, the Château Latour vineyard is one of the oldest in the Médoc. At the heart of the estate, the main plot, named "l'Enclos", consists of 47 hectares of old vines that are preciously maintained, as they are the only ones capable of giving birth to the "Grand Vin". The 18 hectares of external plots, the vines less than 10 years old, and any declassified cuvées produce the estate's second wine, "Les Forts de Latour". Château Latour wine is an example of consistency regardless of the quality of the vintage. Firm, tannic and concentrated in its youth...

Latour is the very example of excellence, in both good and bad years. Among the greatest vintages, the château's finest achievements: 1920, 1929, 1949, 1955, 1959, 1961, 1970, 1982, 1990, 2000.
