CHÂTEAU LA MISSION HAUT BRION 1993

This Cru Classé de Graves is composed of 31% Merlot, 51% Cabernet Sauvignon and 18% Cabernet Franc. A wine that offers a beautiful color, a powerful and complex nose with a very present fruit. On the palate, the harmony of the tannins blends with the aromas of fruit and the consistency of the plum.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
Another superb wine in an off year, the 1993 La Mission shows a deep plum/ruby color and a sweet nose of black fruits intermixed with charcoal and mineral. The wine is medium-bodied, with ripe tannin and elegant, concentrated richness that persists on the palate. This wine is coming into full maturity

Very attractive, positively seductive nose, with ripe, rounded black fruit and lots of coffeeish oak. There's a hint of minerality too. On the palate this is fresh and has good fruit, with a keen, juicy character and a nice supporting structure. Doesn't sing, but pleasurable.

Château La Mission Haut Brion
Château La Mission Haut Brion

Château la Mission Haut-Brion is a wine estate located in Talence, Gironde. Situated in the Pessac-Léognan AOC, it is classified as a grand cru in the Graves wine classification. The estate was purchased in 1983 by the Dillon family, owners of Haut Brion. It is undoubtedly this propensity to give everything at once that distinguishes the wines of La Mission Haut-Brion and attracts many tasters. It is also the heightened expression of the Graves de Pessac terroir. Throughout its aging process and as it matures, Mission Haut-Brion is always generous, constantly revealing itself fully. The hedonistic side of Mission Haut-Brion and the consistency of these qualities are particularities that make it very appealing. La Chapelle de la Mission Haut Brion is the estate's second wine.
