At the beginning of the year, the weather conditions were normal, however the months of August and September were very rainy. It was necessary to urgently harvest grapes that had already deteriorated and not yet ripened.
Château Margaux 1968 was from the start a short, light and simple wine, however over time, a certain finesse has emerged.

Fermentation in oak vats, after which the wine is strictly selected, is followed by 18 to 24 months of aging in new oak barrels. A masterpiece among the Bordeaux wines, the best according to some, Château Margaux reveals finesse and opulence, depth and complexity on tasting, and develops a bouquet of rare elegance of rose, violet, black fruits, under -taut by tight tannins that require patient aging before blossoming. The château also produces a second wine, Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux, and a dry white wine, Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux (100% Sauvignon Blanc).
