Adrian van Velsen - vvWine September - 2024
Adrian van Velsen - vvWine
Dark ruby red; smoky nose, dark fruit, floral notes; powerful palate, dense, round, with ripe fruit, yet not overloaded, the tannins are still valuable, well-packaged acidity provides freshness; on the finish long-lasting, again dark fruit and with licorice on the aftertaste. From now (decant) until 2048

Tasted blind. Mid crimson. Fruity and appealing on the nose. Soft and easy but pretty appealing with lots of fruit within an approachable framework of tannins. Some vigour.

Robust approach, with a strong structure, fruity, with tart but well-integrated tannins, ending quite long, still very grainy and angular at this stage: definitely needs to age.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Dark in color, the wine is paced with ripe black currants, espresso, smoke, tobacco, vanilla and blackberry. On the palate the wine is sweet, fresh, juicy, crisp and chewy, with a blast of black and red fruits, herbs and cocoa in the finish. This is a wine to lay down for at least 7-8 years to insure an even better experience. The wine is made from blending 52% Cabernet Sauvignon with 48% Merlot.

Falstaff February - 2021
Falstaff
Deep ruby-garnet, purple glints, faintly lighter at the rim. Delicate savoury herbaceousness, hardwood followed by nuances of cassis and fresh cherries, a hint of orange zest. Juicy, medium complexity, ripe sweetheart cherries, some plums, elegance, integrated tannins, marked by a delicate leafy touch. Mineral reverberations. (2020-2035).
