Cheval Blanc is a french estate of 37 hectares located in the town of Saint-Emilion, on the edge of the Pomerol appellation. It is a 1st Grand Cru Classé A, it shares the top of Saint-Emilion classification with Château Ausone, Angelus and Pavie. With the Premiers Crus Classés of the Médoc, they constitute the most prestigious estates of all of Bordeaux. The Château produces the "Grand Vin de Cheval Blanc" in red as well as a second wine "Le petit Cheval", which is available in red and white.
Cheval Blanc is one of the most regular wines in the world with the ability to be excellent at any age. The greatest vintages of the estate are : 1921, 1945, the vintage 1947, 1949 wines , crus classés of 1950 and 1953. Then, the vintage of 1955, 1959 wines and grands crus of 1961 are excellent. Finally, the vintage 1964, 1985, and 1990 wines are exceptional.
