Just opened, the bottle shows acidity on the finish. 24 hours later, bottle decanted and kept cool, this sensation disappears. This leaves me astounded. The wine then becomes very pleasant with brightness on the finish, fine tannins and a body less fluid than I thought.

Château Margaux is back after a weak '92. Big for the vintage, featuring loads of new oak to provide a smoky, toasty taste. Attractive currant, black cherry and rose petal character. Medium-bodied, exotic and ripe. Somewhat hard now, and you wish for a bit more concentration, but time should turn it into a lovely wine.
