If there are several bottles in stock, the displayed photo is not contractual and illustrates the state of conservation of the bottle.

Note from the chateau: A vintage with quite appreciable weather conditions and a beautiful hot and dry summer; a first good sort is harvested from 26/9 to 3/10, punctuated with a little water; resumption of the harvest from 9/10. The high temperatures, the warm nights produce a perfect Botrytis and the end of the harvest comes on 26/10. A very ripe harvest, of extreme concentration, for a wine with a subtle balance, the reference of the 60s/70s.

Falstaff November - 2011
Falstaff
Orange-red with a beautiful sheen. A nose full of noble botrytis aromas, hints of peach, lemon, honey, delicate biscuit. Full of finesse on the palate, classy, ??well-integrated acidity, not too sweet, extremely elegant wine, fine caramel honey in the finish, this wine has a sweetness that is by no means clumsy, back aroma of vanilla pods.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
1967 was a legendary year for Yquem. And this was indeed a very good bottle, tasted at the Chateau in spring 2019. Displaying a gorgeous deep amber-gold color, the 1967 d'Yquem slips sensuously out of the glass with a profound perfume of dried mandarin peel, allspice, praline, cinnamon toast and orange blossoms plus hints of gingerbread and accents of lemon butter. The palate is simply electric with citrus and spice-sparked energy, delivering youthfully vibrant notes with a tantalizing floral undercurrent. Superb freshness knit inseparably with the complex sweetness makes this seem like a deceptively delicate, lithe, medium-dry style, even if the truth is far richer yet with edifying persistence.

Most recently, a fragrant, 'dancing', lime blossom bouquet; perfect weight and finess. This was Comte Alexandre de Lur Saluces' first majour vintage and one of which, understandably, he is inordinately proud.

Wine Spectator May - 1999
Wine Spectator
From one of the 20th century's celebrated vintages for Yquem, this bottle stands up to all the hype--unforgettable for its purity, elegance, harmony, its "total" everything. Powerful, yet it seems weightless on the palate, almost defying gravity as it tangos around with its vanilla, peach and apricot flavors. Seamless, nearly endless finish. Easy to understand its reputation as the greatest Yquem of the last 35 years.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
The gorgeous copper, golden, amber hue is a sight to see. Aromas of marshmallow, caramel, brown butter, creme brûlée, almonds, spice, and roasted apricots are off the hook. The wine is rich, silky, concentrated and with a serious depth of flavor, opulent and lush, with silky tannins that deliver waves of sweet, caramel coated fruits with the balance of racy acidity makes this a compelling tasting experience. Drink now, or over the next 30-40 or 50 years!

Château d'Yquem
Château d'Yquem

The Château d'Yquem is an area of 133 hectares including 113 hectares of vineyards, 102 acres operated, south of Bordeaux in Sauternes region that produces a sweet white wine ranked Premier Cru Superior, the only wine from the Sauternes category.

It is considered by many as the best Sauternes. The yield is only 6 hectoliters per hectare and in some years, if the quality is not deemed sufficient, the bottles are not sold under this label.

The wines are characterized by their complexity due to a significant amount of residual sugar and flavorings made by Botrytis cinerea. A relatively high acidity helps offset the sweetness. Another characteristic for which Château d'Yquem is known is his longevity. In good years does present a bottle of his outstanding after one or two decades in a cellar and with care it will keep for a century or more, adding to the complexity...

Since 1959 Chateau d'Yquem produces a dry white wine named "Y" (and before 2004 "Y Lur-Saluces") makes an equal proportion of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. This wine, like great wine is not produced every year. The 2005 vintage was the first vintage of Yquem offered for sale en primeur.
