Jancis Robinson January - 2019
Jancis Robinson
Shiny deep crimson. Pretty smart and intense on the nose. Rather subtle and glorious. Very difficult to spit because it’s so suave and layered. Good freshness and so active under the aroma. Meaty but not at all reduced. Complete.

Already incredible to drink, the wine is concentrated, rich, sensuous, and packed with layers of fruit that does not quit. Even though it is early days, it is difficult not to be seduced by the complex aromatics and if that does not grab you, the velvet-textured opulence in the finish will. If you prefer exuberant, youthful fruits, with decadent textures, and a finish packed with fruit and glycerin, try a bottle now, If you desire more secondary notes, wait a few more years. Either way, this is a superb wine and a clear candidate for the best vintage of Brane Cantenac ever produced! Drink from 2024-2055.

Jean-Marc Quarin September - 2023
Jean-Marc Quarin
Dark, intense and slightly evolved color. Very aromatic nose, with pure, ripe and suave fruit. Ample on the attack, mellow in the middle of the mouth, with class in the touch and a very beautiful rise between the middle and the finish, the wine evolves long, liquorice and deep. It is superb and the good expression of this vintage compared to the previous one.

What a scent, goosebumps guaranteed, aromatically complex, with ripe red and dark berries, blond tobacco, floral tones, a poem. Balanced and powerful on the palate, a mouth full of wine, a mouth full of elegance, sensational tannins, delicate fruit, great length. Absolutely top class. 2024 to 2045

Jeannie Cho Lee May - 2016
Jeannie Cho Lee
Subtle, elegant, quietly powerful, this is one of the best Brane-Cantenacs I have tasted over the past decade. The wine is seamless, with lovely violet, cedar and cassis flavors and silky, dense tannins. A beautiful wine that has both restraint and power.

Wine Enthusiast January - 2018
Wine Enthusiast
Rich, fruity and with great potential, this ripe wine is also dense with firm tannins. Its juicy fruits are a part of a package with the concentrated tannins and smoky wood flavors that allow for long aging. This is an impressive wine from one of the Margaux properties owned by the Lurton family. Drink from 2025.

Falstaff March - 2019
Falstaff
Dark ruby ??garnet, violet reflections, subtle lightening at the edges. Black berry fruit with a delicate tobacco undertone, herbal and spicy touch, vegetal notes. Juicy, complex, blackberries, slightly brittle tannins, lemony-mineral touch in the aftertaste, salty aftertaste.

Guaranteed to be the greatest Brane ever bottled, enormous aromatic complexity, with a never-before-seen balance of maturity and freshness, florality and fruitiness, perfectly ripe tannin of absolute class, unobtrusive density and depth, never-ending length: the absolute must this year.

Wine Spectator March - 2018
Wine Spectator
Silky and refined, with seductive crushed plum and raspberry fruit that glides along, perfectly melded with singed alder and mesquite notes along with black tea and warm licorice details. A violet element hangs in the background, adding to the elegance.
