This ripe, spicy wine is full of blackberry fruits, generous tannins and touches of wood. Its balance is coming together, promising a complex wine that will also have weight and some concentration.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Offering an intoxicating mélange of floral, earthy and spicy scents along with cedar, tobacco and black raspberry notes, it’s very apparent something brilliant is about to happen. In the glass, you’ll find elegance and refinement. The fruits are on the red side but the tannins are so delicate, the juice so plentiful, that attention is elsewhere. From a blend of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, the wine reached 13% alcohol with a pH of 3.76. It represents 60% of the harvest. The higher than usual percentage of the Grand Vin is due to the frost, which hit the parts of the vineyard customarily reserved for the second wine.

A beautiful perfume, flowers, habanero chili, dark and red berries. On the palate accessible, round, well-packaged tannins, crisp, red fruit. Long, fresh, finely spiced finish. Now until 2035

Dark and intense color. Discreet nose, with ripe and slightly smoky fruit. Caressing on the attack, flavorful on the development, this wine melts in the mid-palate, very charming, even delicate. It finishes silky, long, with a fine grain.

Deep dark ruby red with violet reflections and a delicate pale rim. Attractive black berry fruits on the nose, hints of cassis, with floral notes and fresh blackberries. Juicy, fine cherry fruit, a refined structure and silky tannins, a delicate style with some minerality on the finish and good development potential.

Appears a touch more robust in this early phase than en Primeur, more closed than most other Margaux, but with a little aeration it reveals its superb, dense texture, its magnificent tannins, the great elegance and freshness that so captivated us en Primeur: definitely allow it to mature a little.

Jancis Robinson September - 2021

Deep ruby colour. Smoky but enticing nose of sandalwood, dark cherry and dried violets. Hedgerow fruits abound. Very polished on the palate, there is ambition and refinement here. For now the tannins are very pithy and firm, particularly on the finish, but there is enough fruit intensity to match. A wine for laying down.
