Dark ruby with quite a bit of evolution. Very rich and rewarding on the nose. Lots of interest and development. Pretty wine. A little sweet and chocolatey underneath. But capable of providing lots of pleasure for not too much money, I'd have thought. Just a tiny suggestion of greenness underneath.

Château informations
Château du Tertre is an 80-hectare wine estate located in Arsac Margaux in Gironde. In the Médoc AOC, it is classified as a fifth growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification. The vineyard of Château du Tertre consists of grape varieties comprising 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.
The vines are 40 years old on average. In 1997, Dutch businessman Eric Albada Jelgersma purchased the Du Tertre estate where he made significant investments to restructure the entire property. With its exceptional terroir and rare homogeneity, Du Tertre's vineyard is now recognized as one of the highest quality potentials in the Margaux appellation. While modernizing the Du Tertre property, Eric Albada Jelgersma and his team have maintained traditional methods, thus combining innovation with tradition.
