Information on the vintage 1990 red Bordeaux:
An excellent vintage with similar attributes to the 1989 but certainly not an identical twin. In general, the Merlots were in remakable condition with some of the highest levels of sugar ever recorded. The later ripening Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were small and thick, with a concentration of juice and colouring matter.

From a bottle filled to the neck. Well-balanced, with no sharp edges. Light herbal and woody notes, with sufficient residual warmth. Smooth and straightforward, it can be enjoyed with food, but can be a little dry on the palate. Excellent value for a wine over 30 years old.
