Jancis Robinson
(2004) Interesting note of minerals and slight decay. Nose much more evolved than the colour. Much simpler, more spindly than the 1995 (and 1993). This would probably look good with other 1994s but with other Lafleurs it lacks a bit of depth. A bit austere, but it kept its freshness in the glass.

Jean-Marc Quarin November - 2004
Jean-Marc Quarin
Dark red. Good intensity. Slight evolution. Clean. Intense. Fine. Enormously fruity. Cherry. Raspberry. Truffle and tar as in the 2004. Wonderfully fruity wine on the attack, which develops fat, fine, tender and very aromatic on a very pure and bright taste of cherry and especially licorice. It finishes at length on melted tannins. A real delight without tannic hardness.

Château Lafleur
Château Lafleur
Château Lafleur: This small 4.5-hectare vineyard, located in the Pomerol appellation, produces Château Lafleur wine, which is certainly one of the rarest and most sought-after wines. Made from Merlot and Cabernet Franc (50% each), the wines of Château Lafleur are of exceptional quality. All these factors, along with limited production (an average of 12,000 bottles, one of the smallest in Pomerol along with Le Pin), explain the high prices of Château Lafleur.
