Dark fruits on the nose. A broody Nenin, definitely a classic, traditional Pomerol with a hint of cigar box on palate with an unexpected, almost nutty finish. It does not have the class of recent vintages say but still commendable.

Dark red color. Medium intensity. Discreet, fruity nose. No longer has the E.4.P. character. More present on the attack than in the mid-palate and finish, its tannic mass is medium and the whole well balanced. Finish of medium length. I would like more juice throughout the tasting. Much more open and expressive after 24 hours of opening. But I was hoping for more.

Château Nenin

Château Nenin is a Bordeaux wine estate located on the Pomerol plateau. In the Pomerol AOC, the Château produces only red wines. The vineyard extends over a single 32-hectare plot, with the exception of one parcel. The average age of the vines is 27 years, and the grape varieties consist of Merlot (75%) and Cabernet Franc (25%).

The quality of Château Nenin wines continues to improve. A very strict selection is made during the harvest, with only 30 to 40% of the production dedicated to the great wines.
