Robe pourpre très profonde et acidité prononcée. Grande souplesse (bonne) mais un peu creux (mauvais). Le moins impressionnant des meilleurs seconds vins. Je soupçonne que l'acidité sera toujours un fléau pour cet assemblage de 51 % de cabernet sauvignon et 46 % de merlot, qui représente près d'un tiers de la récolte totale de Lafite.

Château Lafite Rothschild is one of the oldest and most prestigious estates in the Pauillac appellation, on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. Its origins date back to the Middle Ages, but it was in the 18th century that the château acquired international renown, particularly among European courts. In the 1855 classification, Château Lafite Rothschild was ranked Premier Grand Cru Classé, permanently establishing its status at the top of the Bordeaux hierarchy.

Owned by the Rothschild family since 1868, the estate rests on a terroir of fine, deep gravel, perfectly suited to Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines of Château Lafite Rothschild are distinguished by their finesse, aromatic precision and balance, favoring elegance and length over demonstrative power.
