Wines from the Loire region

Region Loire

The Loire Valley, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, stretches from the Atlantic to the gates of the Massif Central. It constitutes one of the largest and most diverse wine regions in France. As a cradle of great geological and climatic richness, it gives birth to an exceptional range of wines, reflecting the diversity of its terroirs.

The Loire vineyard is divided into several emblematic sub-regions: Nantais, Anjou-Saumur, Touraine, and Centre-Loire. Each is distinguished by its grape varieties, traditions, and vinification style.

Loire wines are captivating for their freshness, elegance, and great aging potential for certain appellations. They cover all colors and styles: dry or sweet white wines, light or full-bodied red wines, fine rosés, and sparkling wines.

Among the greatest Loire producers are Domaine HUET and Domaine Clos Rougeard.
