1947 Vintage wine

With a late and favorable spring and an almost tropical summer, the Bordeaux wines of the 1947 vintage are excellent

Generous, supple, ripe and fleshy wines. Often marked by acidity, they are nevertheless opulent and heady. Drink now, before the acidity dominates. The successes of the vintage are, among others, Château Margaux 1947, Château Mouton Rothschild 1947, La Conseillante 1947, Petrus 1947, Château Ausone 1947, Château Cheval Blanc 1947...

For the Sauternes it is a very great, rich and ripe year. Superb wines, but which can sometimes present a touch of acidity. We retain in particular Climens 1947, or the Château Suduiraut 1947.

In Burgundy the climatic conditions are excellent but the harvests are however scarce. Ripe wines, of immediate appeal, but also with good aging potential, which can still be good. Rhône wines are beautiful, generous and charming wines, well constituted and with good aging potential. Still pleasant today. We particularly remember the wines of Hermitage.
