evolution on the nose. A more evolved bottle than the one tasted at the château a couple of days before. Very Margaux with no heaviness but some polished tannins still in evidence. .

One must decant this wine to enjoy its fine nose, intense, aromatic, fruity and very distinguished. The density of the Year stands out from the entry into mouth. The composition is carefully. The wine is developing very aromatic, subtle, very fruity and full. Its evolution nuanced delights the language and spirit. It is both mature and dynamic. Very good length. Finally a 2000 better than 2001!.

Fully mature, the 2000 D’Issan is a quintessentially elegant, yet concentrated, aristocratic Margaux that defines the appellation. The wine has a dark rubypurple color just beginning to lighten at the edge. Notes of charcoal, acacia flowers, black raspberries, and blue fruits are followed by a medium to full-bodied wine that builds incrementally on the palate. With its outstanding purity, richness, elegance and length, this is a beauty that has reached its window of maturity, where it should stay for another 15 or more years.

Issan (d\')
Chateau d'Issan, Margaux 3rd Cru third classified growth in 1855. Castle Issan is a magnificent property situated on the banks of the Gironde, it is said that wine was served in Issan to the marriage of Eleanor of Aquitaine and Henry Plantagenet in 1152. The vines of Château d'Issan is classic, with about three quarts of Cabernet Sauvignon. Margaux is a natural end, who knows when to be fat and round the year lends itself. In recent years, the vintage vinified by Emmanuel Cruse are even more dense and more complex.
