Jeannie Cho Lee June - 2011

A nose to die for filled with an array of violets and Thai jasmine with hints of cedar and spices. The palate doesn't disappoint, with silky tannins, lovely flavours that are bound together seamlessly and carries through in the finish.

Light and very mature, marked by wood but more vegetal than fruity, lacking the intensity of youthful flavor expected from this vintage.

Château Giscours
Château Giscours

Château Giscours is a Bordeaux wine estate located in Labarde in Gironde. Château Giscours produces wines under the AOC Margaux appellation. It is ranked among the Third Growth (Grand Cru Classé) in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification, and is one of the most important estates in the Médoc. The vineyard spans nearly 86 hectares within a 300-hectare property. Giscours thus continues the legacy of generations of winemakers, making this estate a world-renowned Grand Cru.

Note the existence of an impeccable second wine: La Sirène de Giscours.

The best vintages of Giscours are the 1945 wines, the 1961, 1982, and 1989 vintages which are excellent. Finally, the 1990 vintage, the 2000 and 2009 grand crus, as well as the 2015 vintage are among the Château's greatest achievements.
