I advise fans to enjoy this wine now by decanting a few minutes before serving. Tasted twice this week, ownership and fans with his nose and ripe fruit, coffee and fresh like a lot. Silky on the attack, full and rich fruit in the middle, it ends with a refined texture, coupled with a nice clean flavor to the Margaux appellation. It will keep very long, probably live until 2030.

Probably the finest Giscours made since the 1975, this blackpurple-colored 2000 offers up terrific notes of camphor, creosote, blackberry, and cassis jam intermixed with notions of smoke and earth. Spicy, with low acidity, a big, rich, fleshy, full-bodied palate, outstanding texture, and a long, pure finish, it is, to reiterate, one of the best Giscours produced over the last 25 years. A sleeper of the vintage, it is still available for a realistic price.

Very dark and concentrated, with intense aromas of tobacco, coffee and blackberries. Full-bodied, with big, velvety tannins and a long finish of licorice, berry and currants. Giscours is doing something special. Best ever from here.

(3-2010). Dark ruby. Fragrant and full bodied and flattering. Solid with some lead pencil character. A big beefy mouthful but definitively left bank. This may well be good value and provide lots of solid preasure but it will never be subtle. . .

Château informations
Giscours Chateau Margaux, Bordeaux, Chateau Giscours is one of the most important areas of Medoc. The vineyard consists of a serious ground on a base gravel and sandy. The creation of a pond near the castle, helped land drainage. The terroir is exceptional, meets all the quality factors of a vintage: exposure, drainage, soil hot spring, root permeability, fertility, water regulation summer. The wines of Chateau Giscours show is focused, generous, rich in tannins. Particularly attractive in their youth, they have a potential repository of several years in great vintages. Note the existence of a second wine without fault: Mermaid Giscours.
