A 1992 , who sticks let alone who picks a 1992 these days… but this was beautiful. Granted it’s better days behind it, tertiary and lacking weight of fruit but in its soft and fully mature state is also beautiful and delivered and for this who love well aged Bordeaux this will but a big smile on their faces like it did to us.

Jean-Marc Quarin June - 1994
Jean-Marc Quarin
Bordeaux red color. Dark. Medium intensity. Slight evolution. Nose of medium intensity. Fine. Nuance of candied orange, of pine. On swirling, intense. Same thing. Mandarin. Soft and slightly linear attack, developing on a medium body, quite straight with a hollow in the mid-palate. The finish is well balanced but simple in its tannin not yet melted. This wine lacks flesh.

Better than when we tasted it in barrel. Attractive leather, berry and light plum aromas and flavors, subtle, complex palate and light body.

Château la Fleur Petrus
Château la Fleur Petrus
Neighbor of Petrus, Château La Fleur-Pétrus is a remarkable Pomerol, fine and round, one of the greatest Pomerols, absolutely essential and still accessible, if one can say so. The terroir of Château La Fleur-Pétrus fully plays its role, with a soil of deep gravel that imparts natural elegance and finesse to the wine. The Cabernet Franc, used in larger quantities, gives a superb result, with wines that should be waited for almost ten years!
