Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Fully developed, the wine is lush, soft, and aromatic, with notes of flowers, cigar box, wild cherries, forest leaf, and tobacco. There is vibrancy, sweet red fruits, and a touch of mint on the back end.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
This is a fabulous Figeac with a deep rubygarnet color and some lightening at the edge. A sweet nose of licorice, cedar, black currants, cherries, and minerals is followed by a relatively fleshy Figeac with medium body and wonderful sweetness, in a very expansive, elegant style, with nothing out of place.

Ruby color. Interesting aromas of plums, leaves and berries. Full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a ripe fruit and chocolate aftertaste. Rich and chunky Figeac.

Open, sweet, fresh and without density. So very different from many St-Émilions of the 1990s! No wonder it did not find favour with some critics but it’s wearing very well. Biscuity nose again with sweetness and some violet perfume. A real pleasure to taste. Lightly leathery – in a good way! Long.

Château Figeac
Château Figeac

Château Figeac is a Bordeaux wine estate located in the commune of Saint Emilion. Premier Grand Cru Classé of the official Saint-Emilion classification, it is one of the most influential châteaux of the appellation. The Château also produces a second wine: La Grange Neuve de Figeac.

Château Figeac wines have excellent aging potential.

The finest achievements are the 1961 vintage, 1982, the 1985 wines, grand crus from 1986. More recent Château Figeac vintages show more power, roundness and fruity notes, the 2000 vintage, the 2005 wines and 2009 are spectacular.
