Opulent nose, typically Bordeaux (leather, stable), full in the mouth, round, min. tannin, no signs of age! Will definitely last until 2030.

Adrian van Velsen - vvWine
Strong ruby, shows the first hints of ripeness. Wonderful nose, shows depth, complexity, an initially slightly lactic note turns into scents of tobacco, freshly grated licorice, cedar, develops in the glass. Ripe on the palate, round and with a rich fruit, medium to strong body, the tannins are still very present, pulls through on the middle palate, becomes increasingly crisp, more youthful, fluctuates back and forth between warmth and freshness, ripeness and youthfulness. Exciting and aromatic, almost a bit exotic, the wine lasts a long time in the finish. Definitely still has very nice reserves.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Medium bodied, elegant, light in color and perhaps a bit light in fruit, still the wine delivers on the earthy, tobacco, floral, plum and cherry nose. On the palate, the wine is elegant and refined, with the patina of age in the texture, and in the finish. Popped and poured was the right way to go with this one.

Jancis Robinson
Looks much more mature than the 1990 just tasted. Mid ruby with rusty rim. Intense, sweet with sweet licorice. Sweeter, smoother and more tarry than the 1990. Long and rich with layered undertow.
