Slightly one-dimensional, but shows some very good fruit character. Dried berry and cherry aromas, with a hint of vanilla. Medium- to full-bodied, with medium, silky tannins and a fruity aftertaste.

The wine confirms the en primeur rating. For me, it is the best vintage produced under the management of the Axa group. It is superior to the 90.

Dark brick. Petroleum and ripe dates on the nose. Red berries, quince and spice, low tannins with medium acidity. A mature and well balanced wine, which still packs a punch!

Dark ruby. Some vigour and good development on the nose. Some welcome freshness too. Attractively juicy and mellow if slightly simple sugar and acid cocktail. Transparent and reasonably refreshing though the sweetness is a little marked.

Château Cantenac Brown
Château Cantenac Brown
Since 2006, a sustainable farming policy has been implemented throughout the vineyard. Cantenac Brown wines are produced on stony lands in the southern part of the village, on typical Médoc gravel soil. The average age of Cantenac Brown vines is 35 years, with a planting density of 8,500 to 10,000 vines per hectare, and a yield of 45 hectoliters per hectare. The grape variety composition of Cantenac Brown consists of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Franc, which produce wines with an intense bouquet, suitable for aging.
