Château Malescot Saint Exupery is a wine estate covering 45 hectares, including 30 hectares of vineyards, located in Margaux, Gironde. In the Margaux AOC, Château Malescot Saint Exupery is classified as a third growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification. The grape variety composition is: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. The grapes are hand-harvested, and vinification lasts 4 to 6 weeks, favoring long maceration periods. The wines are aged for 16 months in new oak barrels. They are fined with egg whites and are unfiltered.

The best vintages of Château Malescot Saint Exupery are 1945, 1961, and 1980. We recommend the Malescot Saint Exupery 1982, Malescot Saint Exupery 1989, and Malescot Saint Exupery 1990. Finally, the Château has also produced exceptional vintages such as Malescot Saint Exupery 1995 and Château Malescot Saint Exupery 2005.

The history of Château Malescot Saint Exupery begins in the early 17th century. Simon Malescot, advisor to Louis XIV at the Parliament of Bordeaux, arrived in 1697 and brought the estate into a new era. In 1827, Count Jean-Baptiste de Saint-Exupéry, great-grandfather of the writer, took over the management of the château. This third growth of Margaux thus has a connection with Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The aviator's family established the name of the château before selling it. In 1955, the Zuger family bought it. At that time, the estate only had 7 hectares. 

The labels state: "semper ad altum" which means "always higher". A motto that reflects the Château's strong ambition. The wines are original and always well-made, dense and powerful, and age very well. The harvest is always perfectly ripe, giving the wine an atypical profile, with skillful aging management that highlights the fruit and a creamy texture with fresh and refined tannins. Château Malescot Saint Exupery also produces a second wine called Dame de Malescot.
