Vinum Wine Magazine January - 1
Vinum Wine Magazine
Malescot is always a wine with a distinctive character of its own, with only one model to follow: itself. That is true in 2010 as well: surprisingly fiery, rich and round for the year, yet remarkably fresh, dense, full and long, from late-ripening fruit and with a noticeable proportion of Merlot in the blend.

Wine Spectator March - 2014
Wine Spectator
A bit woodsy in feel now, with a youthfully raw edge, as singed sandalwood and alder notes liberally frame the core of dark cherry, plum and black currant fruit. This has length and drive, with a smoldering feel echoing. Should be among the top examples of the AOC in 2011 after it settles in fully.

Falstaff February - 2022
Falstaff
Dark ruby-garnet, with a deep core, purple reflections and a delicate watery rim. Delicate dark berry fruit, with some licorice and truffle. Medium complexity, blackberries, vivid tannins, fresh structure and dark minerality. Persistent, with some aging potential.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
A solid wine in a diffcult vintage, deep in color, with licorice, coffee bean, black cherry, flowers and truffle in the perfume, the wine delivers soft, round textures, and a lush, round, slightly short finish.

This wine feels solid, with its tannins forming a base for the juicy red- and dark-berry flavors. It shows a dry side and a dense finish.

Château Malescot Saint Exupery
Château Malescot Saint Exupery

Château Malescot St. Exupery is a 45-hectare wine estate with 30 ha of vines, located in Margaux in the Gironde region. In the AOC Margaux, it is classified as a third growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

The grape varieties consist of: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinification lasts 4 to 6 weeks, favoring long maceration periods. The wines are aged for 16 months in new oak barrels. The wines are fined with egg whites and unfiltered.
