Second Growths of Sauternes classification. 

The 1855 classification was created in 1855 at the request of Napoleon III. It distinguishes on one side the red wine classification (all from Médoc except Château Haut Brion from Pessac Léognan), and on the other side the sweet white wine classification. The sweet white wine classification, all from Sauternes and Barsac, consists of 3 categories: Premier Cru Supérieur (Château d'Yquem is the only one), First Growths and Second Growths.

The 1855 Second Growths include 15 châteaux: Château Caillou, Château d'Arche, Château Filhot, Château Lamothe, Château Doisy Daene, Château Doisy Védrines, Château de Malle...
